JENNIFER POWERS

Picture
Assistant Coach, USAT Level I Certified
As a coach, I empower people to dream big, beat yesterday and lap their former selves many times over. My specialties include adult learn-to-swim (ALTS), running, swimming and cheering like mad in a tutu. I have two rules, in racing, training and life:
#1 Be safe; #2 Have fun.
A mantra came to me while I struggled to calm myself during the swim at my first Olympic tri and I use it to this day: Breathe, Believe, Achieve.  READ MORE about my story and my goals as a coach!

TONY RAMOS

Assistant Coach, M.S., ACSM EP-C
  •     Exercise Physiologist - SSM Hospital System
  •     Missouri State University - Kinesiology
  •     University of Alabama - Dietetics
I grew up as a multi-sport athlete with with a drive to perform better than yesterday. Today, that drive still resides as an avid triathlete and runner. I believe the human body and mind are a too precious of gifts to not develop potential and utilize every day. I studied human physiology at Missouri State University, and currently enrolled in an online Nutrition and Dietetics program at the University of Alabama. Certifications include ACSM Clinical Exercise Physiologist, and am in pursuit of USAT Level 1 in the fall of 2019. My goal as a coach is to help individuals set goals, small and large, develop a plan to attain, and fall in love with the process in achieving those goals – all while having fun! I can’t wait to begin working with you all – until then, Carpe Diem.

JEFF HUOT

Assistant Coach, M.S. Applied Exercise Science; Sports Performance Training, USAT Level 1 Certified, USAC Level 3 Certified (Pending 2020)
I currently serve in the United States Air Force and grew up playing as many sports as possible and enjoy sharing my experience and education through coaching new to experienced athletes.  I want to help athletes achieve and exceed their personal goals through a balanced training plan and communication without forgetting about life and family. I am a 2x Ironman Triathlon Finisher, 2x Half Ironman Triathlon Finisher, and have completed several shorter distances including Olympic to Sprints.  My coaching specialties include all triathlon distances, 5K to Full Marathon running distances, endurance cycling and racing, training with power and heart rate, strength training, flexibility training, and nutrition.  I am excited to continue to pass on my experiences and help others achieve the amazing feelings that all athletes have upon completion of an event! Anything is possible, lets set a goal and crush it!!!

BECKY ADAMS

Assistant Coach, Registered Dietitian and Certified Sports Specialist Dietitian
As a coach and sports dietitian, I view my role as one to guide you thru confusion, support you through discouragement; inspire good health, well-being, and life balance; help you find your strength when you want to give up; and celebrate alongside you when you achieve what you only dreamed possible.  In terms of credentials, I’m a 3-time Ironman finisher (my favorite distance is 70.3 though!), I’m a Registered Dietitian and Certified Sports Specialist Dietitian, and I am pursuing USAC Level 3 and USAT Level 1 certifications in 2018.  While I believe in personal challenge, above all, this sport should be fun. If it’s no longer fun, it’s my role to help you train to a different tune.
